MHSET: 2021 Exam Registration :  Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MHSET) -2021 Exam  will be conducted in 26th September 2021 tentatively. Maharashtra State Eligibility Test is conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University for the post of Assistant Professor in the states of Maharashtra and Goa. This exam is conducted once every year at the State Level. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

a. Before submission of the online Application Form, the candidate should Read this notification carefully.

b. On behalf of the States of Maharashtra & Goa, the Savitribai Phule Pune University, the State Agency announces holding of the 37 TH MH-SET on 26.09.2021 (Sunday) for determining the eligibility of the candidates for the job of Assistant Professor in the Universities and Colleges in the states of Maharashtra & Goa. Like UGC-NET (Assistant Professor only), the SET is exclusively conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates for the job of Assistant Professor and of the State/nodal agency is not liable to provide job to the SET qualified candidates. The Savitribai Phule Pune University, State Agency will conduct the MH-SET in 32 subjects (listed under ItemNo.4 on page 7) at 15 selected city centers (listed under Item No. 5 on page 8) spread across the states.

c. The Eligibility for Assistant Professor will depend on the performance of the candidate in both the papers of SET. Candidates who qualify the test for eligibility for Assistant Professor will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor, of the concerned Universities/Colleges/State Governments, as the case maybe.

d. The result of the MH-SET to be held on 26.09.2021 will be made available on the following website: http://setexam.unipune.ac.in as and when it is accepted and permitted to declare, by the competent authorities. The candidates will not be intimated individually about their result.

e. Scheduled Caste(SC)/ Scheduled Tribe(ST)/Persons with Benchmark Disability (40%or more) (PwD) / Other Backward Class (OBC),/ DT(A) (VJ),/NT(B)/ NT(C)/, NT(D)/ SBC/ ( Non Creamy Layer only)/Orphan/General EWS are the recognized categories by the states of Maharashtra and Goa. The candidates will be given such special concession as may be decided by the UGC.

f. Reservation mentioned in the Advertisement shall be binding on the candidates. Any changes in the reservation policy made by the State Government after the date of Advertisement shall not be applicable for this SET examination, however in case of court decisions, it will be binding.

g. All policies and rules relating to subjects, declaration of results and any matter in respect of conduct of SET shall be binding on the candidates.

h. No request from a candidate, for any correction in the application form shall be entertained by the Nodal Agency after 19/06/2021.

MH SET ADMIT CARD/HALL TICKET

The Hall Ticket/ Admit Card will be generated based on the information provided by the candidate in the online application form. In case of false information in the online application form, the admit card will be generated accordingly. It will be provided online to all candidates 10 days prior to the date of the SET examination on the same website from where the candidate had submitted his/her SET application form online. Candidate shall enter his/her Login ID and password for getting his/her Admit Card. Admit card/Hall Ticket will not be sent to the candidates by post.

Candidates have to download and get a printout of ADMIT CARD. Candidate must carry admit card and also one additional photo identity such as Adhar Card, PAN card, Voter Id etc. On the Day of the Examination.

The candidates will be allowed to appear only for the SET subject mentioned in the admit card.

Public Notice Application Date Extended

The 37th MHSET examination conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University for the states of Maharashtra and Goa is scheduled on 26th September, 2021. Due to Covid-19 pandemic situation some students failed to apply online. Previously the date for applying online application was 17th May, 2021 to 10th June, 2021. Now the date for filling online application form without late fee is extended from 11th June, 2021 to 17th June, 2021 and with late fee Rs.500/- is extended from 18th June, 2021 to 25th June, 2021. Date of editing application form for correction is rescheduled from 26th June, 2021 to 30th June, 2021.

Maharashtra SET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test 2021 must verify that they are eligible for the SET examination as laid down by the conducting body. One can check the detailed eligibility criteria as per the previous year information brochure here. The prescribed eligibility criteria for the examination are listed below.

• The candidate must have a Master’s Degree recognized by U.G.C (University Grants Commission) in a subject of SET.
• The candidates should have obtained at least 55% overall marks, in their Master’s or equivalent examination. Relaxation will be given in this overall percentage for reserved candidates such as SC / ST / OBC / SBC / DT(VJ)/NT / SEBC / Trans-genders etc who need to score 50% for eligibility.
• Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or candidates who have appeared in the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination are also eligible.
• Candidates of other states (other than Maharashtra and Goa) belonging to reserved categories (like SC/ST/OBC/SEBC) shall be treated as Open/Unreserved category as per the rules of the Maharashtra and Goa States.
• The SET Department has not set a upper age limit for candidates to apply for Maharashtra SET.
• A candidate who has already qualified for SET in a subject may not appear in the same subject for SET again.

MH SET Application Form Fees

For MH SET 2021 registrations, candidates first need to fill the user registration form on the official website of the exam. After completing the registration process, candidates will be directed towards the MH SET 2021 application form which they can complete in the online mode only. MH SET 2021 application fee can be paid in the online mode via credit/ debit card/ net banking only.
