UGC-NET Exam postponed due to  Covid-19 situation in country New Dates To Be Announced Later: National Testing Agency

UGC NET Exam Postponed 2021 :  UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) scheduled to be held from May 2 to 17 has been postponed in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced on Tuesday. UGC NET exam was to be conducted on 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17 May 2021 as per the pre-decided schedule. Keeping in mind the safety  of candidates and exam functionaries during COVID-19 the exam was postponed. New scheduled released next month candidates to regularly visit the official NTA websites for the latest updates.

National Eligibility Test (NET) : is conducted on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility of Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship or both, for Indian Universities and Colleges.

UGC-NET : is conducted twice every year. However in 2020 due to the pandemic, the June 2020 examination got delayed and was deferred to September 2020 until November 2020 to cover all the subjects. The December 2020 cycle had to be postponed and is now being conducted in March-April 2021 . The candidates who desire to appear in the Test may see the details in the Information Bulletin for UGC-NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) which will be available on the website www.nta.ac.in , and https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in
