महापालिकेच्या माध्यमिक व प्राथमिक असा एकूण 123 शाळांमध्ये स्मार्ट सिटीच्या वतीने अद्यावत ई-क्लासरूमसाठी तयार करण्यात आले आहेत. विद्यार्थ्यांना ई-क्लासरूममध्ये शिक्षण देण्याचे प्रशिक्षण देण्यासाठी संबंधित एजन्सीच्या वतीने 300 प्रशिक्षक नेमण्यात येणार आहेत. प्रशिक्षण तसेच, देखभालीचे हे काम 3 वर्षे चालणार आहे.

खासगी शाळाप्रमाणे महापालिकेच्या शाळेत जागतिक दर्जाचे ई-क्लासरूम तयार करण्यात आले आहेत. त्यात संगणक कक्ष, डिजिटल ई-लर्निग प्लॅटफार्म, वायफाय एक्सेस पॉईट, एलईडी डिस्प्ले, एचडी कॅमेरे, व्हिडिओ रेकॉर्डीग, शैक्षणिक विश्?लेषणाचे सॉफ्टवेअर, रोबोटिक्स लॅब आदींचा समावेश आहे. पालिकेच्या तब्बल 123 शाळांमध्ये ई-क्लासरूमसह संगणक, विज्ञान व गणित विभाग तयार करण्यात आले आहेत.या नव्या तंत्रज्ञानानुसार शिक्षकांना शिकविता यावे म्हणून संबंधित एजन्सीमार्फत 300 प्रशिक्षक नेमले जाणार आहेत. हे प्रशिक्षक पालिकेच्या शिक्षकांना ई-क्लासरूमचे प्रशिक्षण देणार आहेत. तसेच, मार्गदर्शन व सहाय करणार आहेत.प्रशिक्षण पूर्ण झाल्यानंतर शिक्षकांना विद्यार्थ्यांना ई-क्लासरूमच्या माध्यमातून अभ्यासक्रम घेता येणार आहे. हे प्रशिक्षण दोन ते तीन महिने चालणार आहेत. जुलै किंवा ऑगस्ट महिन्यांपासून पालिकेच्या सर्व शाळांमध्ये ई-क्लासरूमद्वारे शिकविले जाईल, असा दावा शिक्षण विभागाने केला आहे.

एजन्सीकडून प्रशिक्षकांची नियुक्ती 

• स्मार्ट सिटीअंतर्गत पालिकेच्या सर्व शाळांमध्ये ई-क्लासरूम तयार करण्यात आले आहेत.
• तसेच, त्यासाठी आवश्यक ती सर्व सोयी व सुविधा उपलब्ध करण्यात आल्या आहेत.
• शिक्षकांना त्याचे प्रशिक्षण देण्यासाठी अनुभवी प्रशिक्षक नेमण्याचा करार आहे.
• संबंधित एजन्सी प्रशिक्षक नियुक्त करीत आहे.
• प्रशिक्षण पूर्ण झाल्यानंतर पालिकेचे शिक्षक विद्यार्थ्यांना ई-क्लासरूम तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करून शिक्षण देतील, असे अतिरिक्त आयुक्त विकास ढाकणे यांनी सांगितले.

About Pimpri Chinchwad

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is the civic body that governs Pimpri Chinchwad, the proudly extended city limits of Pune, India. It was established on 11 October 1982 to govern the newly industrialized towns of Chinchwad, Akurdi, Pimpri & Bhosari.The same day Pimpri Chinchwad split apart from the Haveli taluka to become the 15th and newest Taluka of Pune district.It governs an area of 181 sqkm with a population of 1.72 million.

Smart City Mission

The Smart Cities Mission is a bold new initiative of the Government of India to drive economic growth and improve the quality of life of people by enabling local development and harnessing technology as a means to create smart outcomes for citizens. As per the mission guidelines, each shortlisted city is required to undertake a ‘smart’ area based development project and a ‘smart’ pan-city project with the funding received from the Government. The area based development project can be based on one or more of the following themes –1) Retrofitting 2) Redevelopment 3) Greenfield A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will be formulated for the implementation of the aforementioned projects. The SPV will receive funding from the Central Government, State Government and ULB. The Central Government will contribute a total of Rs.500 crores over 5 years in the form of a tied grant. Further, the SPV will also be allowed to borrow funds from the private sector and utilize other means of funding such as user charges, surcharges, etc. for the purpose of meeting its expenditure needs

Smart City Challenge

For the first time, a ‘Challenge’ or ‘Competition’ method is going to be used to select cities for the disbursement of funds Each of the shortlisted cities are required to prepare a Smart City Proposal (SCP) which will include a vision for the city and the cities proposed smart area based and pan-city projects. Further, the SCP will be evaluated by the Central Government on the basis of credibility, do-ability and citizen engagement. Based on this evaluation, cities will be selected to receive funding. Pimpri-Chinchwad is participating in the Smart Cities Challenge and the city intends to prepare a proposal which will reflect the needs and aspirations of the citizens.
