लेखी परीक्षेनंतर उमेदवारांची कौशल्य चाचणी असते. कौशल्य चाचणीमध्ये उमेदवारांच्या लेखन गतीची चाचणी घेतली जाते. जे बोलले जात आहे ते लगेच लिहून ठेवण्यासाठी उमेदवारांना लघुलेख (संक्षेप आणि चिन्हांचा वापर) मजबूत पकड असणे आवश्यक आहे. ही चाचणी उत्तीर्ण होणे अनेक उमेदवारांसाठी कठीण होते, कारण हा वेग मिळविण्यासाठी तुम्हाला सतत लेखनाचा सराव करावा लागतो. स्टेनोग्राफर ग्रेड सी पदांसाठी अपेक्षित वेग 100 शब्द प्रति मिनिट आणि ग्रेड डी पदांसाठी 80 शब्द प्रति मिनिट आहे. स्टेनोग्राफर ग्रेड डी चाचणीसाठी 70 मिनिटे इंग्रजीमध्ये आणि 90 मिनिटे हिंदीसाठी. स्टेनोग्राफर ग्रेड सीला इंग्रजीमध्ये 55 मिनिटे आणि हिंदीमध्ये 75 मिनिटे मिळतील.
The candidates who are shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination will be required to appear in the Skill Test for Stenography. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in the online Application Form) at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. SSC Skill Test in Stenography| SSC Stenographer Skill Test Pattern 2026
संगणक आधारित परीक्षेत निवडलेल्या उमेदवारांना स्टेनोग्राफीसाठी कौशल्य चाचणीमध्ये बसणे आवश्यक आहे.

Candidates who opt to take the Stenography Test in Hindi will be required to learn English Stenography and vice versa after their appointment, failing which their probation may not be cleared by appointing departments. Candidates have to work as English/Hindi stenographers as per the functional requirement of the User Office irrespective of the medium of Skill Test of candidate during the examination.
