JEE Advanced 2021 information brochure has been released along with other details like changes in the entrance exam, centre location, female quota.
Information Brochure (English) and the list of documents which are required during JEE (Advanced) 2021 registration are now available on the website.
Due to the prevailing Covid – 19 pandemic related circumstances in India, the date of JEE (Advanced) 2021, stated in the Information Brochure, has been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course. As a consequence, the dates for registration, admission, counselling etc., contained in this document may also be revised. The dates for various activities regarding JEE (Advanced) 2021 and AAT are presented in Annexure – IV of the Information Brochure; which shall be updated subsequently and the modified list of dates shall also be displayed on the website.

Registration Procedure:
The steps for registration are given in Procedure A and Procedure B below. The candidates who have qualified through JEE (Main) 2021, have to carry out the steps given in Procedure A. The candidates who are eligible to appear directly for JEE (Advanced) 2021 under the one-time measure, mentioned in Clause 11 [ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR INDIAN NATIONALS FOR APPEARING FOR JEE (ADVANCED) 2021] have to carry out the steps given in Procedure B below.
The candidates who are eligible to appear directly for JEE (Advanced) 2021 by the one-time measure and also qualify through JEE (Main) 2021 must register for JEE (Advanced) 2021 following steps given in Procedure B.
Procedure A: The candidate will first login with the JEE (Main) 2021 credentials.The following three steps are to be carried out to complete the registration process.
Step-1: After login, provide the basic data and the choices of the cities for the examination [see Clause 19. CITIES AND TOWNS WHERE JEE (ADVANCED) 2021 WILL BE HELD]. The candidate will have the option of adding an additional mobile phone number and an additional email ID, in addition to the number(s) already provided during JEE (Main) 2021 registration. Please note that all the correspondence regarding JEE (Advanced) 2021 will be sent to the registered mobile number by SMS and to the registered email ID by email. Candidates are therefore, advised to ensure that the correct mobile number and email address are entered by them.
Step-2: Upload the scanned copies of all requisite documents [see Clause 15. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION].
Step-3: Pay registration fee [see Clause 13. REGISTRATION FEE FOR JEE (ADVANCED) 2021]. Registration fee is NEITHER refundable NOR transferable.
Procedure B: The candidates who are eligible to appear directly for JEE (Advanced) 2021 under the one-time measure, mentioned in Clause 11 [ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR INDIAN NATIONALS FOR APPEARING FOR JEE (ADVANCED) 2021], will have to login using the JEE (Main) 2020 credentials. They have to carry out the following three steps to successfully complete the registration process.
Step-1: After login using the JEE (Main) 2020 credentials, provide the basic data and the choices of the cities for the examination [see Clause 19. CITIES AND TOWNS WHERE JEE (ADVANCED) 2021 WILL BE HELD]. The candidate will have the option of providing an additional mobile number and an additional email ID, in addition to the number(s) already provided during JEE (Main) 2020 registration. Please note that all the correspondence regarding JEE(Advanced) 2021 will be sent to the registered mobile number by SMS and to the registered email ID by email. Candidates are therefore, advised to ensure that the correct mobile number and email address are entered by them. Additionally, the candidates will have to enter the URC [see Clause 11. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR INDIAN NATIONALS FOR APPEARING FOR JEE (ADVANCED) 2021] provided to them along with the required
documents as per the instructions which shall appear on the registration portal. If any such candidate has appeared for JEE (Main) 2021 then the candidate must enter the JEE (Main) 2021 Application Number.
Step-2: Upload the scanned copies of all requisite documents afresh [see Clause 15. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION].
Step-3: Pay registration fee [see Clause 13. REGISTRATION FEE FOR JEE (ADVANCED) 2021]. Registration fee is NEITHER refundable NOR transferable.

Academic Programmes
Through JEE (Advanced), IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Architecture. Both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are awarded to candidates enrolled in the dual degree programs upon successful completion of the course curriculum. In a few of the IITs, students enrolled into the 4-year Bachelor’s program have the option to convert to B.Tech (Honors) and/or B.Tech. with Minors. The types of academic programs offered at IITs and their minimum duration are given in the next page.
However, not all programs and courses are available in all the institutes. The courses that will be offered in academic year 2021-22 will be announced at the time of seat allocation (i.e., filling-in of choices for admission).
The programs are credit-based and thus offer the flexibility to progress at one’s own pace. A minimum level of performance is essential for satisfactory progress. The medium of instruction is English.

Schedule of JEE (Advanced) 2021
The examination consists of two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) of three hours duration each. Both the papers are compulsory. The examination will be held as per the following schedule:

Registration fee once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable. All candidates have to reach the examination centre at their own expense and have to make their own arrangements to appear for the examination.
