DTPDTP Maharashtra Junior Draftsman Syllabus:  The Directorate of Town Planning and Valuation, Maharashtra, conducts the recruitment for the post of Junior Draftsman every year. For 2025, a total of 28 Junior Draftsman (Group-C) posts have been announced across various divisions in Maharashtra, with the application window open till July 20, 2025. Candidates must possess a diploma or certificate in Draftsmanship or a closely related field such as Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Technology from a recognized institution. The age limit is 18 to 38 years for the general category, while reserved category candidates get a relaxation of up to 5 years. The selection process involves two main stages: an objective-type written examination followed by document verification. The exam is designed to test both technical knowledge and general aptitude, ensuring only skilled and eligible candidates are selected for Maharashtra’s urban planning sector

 

The online examination for the post of Junior Draftsman consists of a total of 120 marks. There will be 60 objective, multiple-choice questions, each carrying 2 marks. Out of these, questions on Marathi, English, General Knowledge, and Intelligence Test will carry 30 marks each, making up the full 120-mark paper. The paper is based strictly on the educational qualification required for the Junior Draftsman post and will last for 90 minutes. The question paper will be objective in nature, with candidates required to select one correct answer from four options for each question.

कनिष्ठ आरेखक पदासाठी ऑनलाईन परीक्षा एकूण १२० गुणांची असेल. या परीक्षेत प्रत्येकी २ गुणांचे ६० वस्तुनिष्ठ, बहुपर्यायी प्रश्न असतील. त्यापैकी मराठी, इंग्रजी, सामान्यज्ञान आणि बौद्धिक चाचणी या प्रत्येक विषयासाठी ३० गुण निश्चित करण्यात आले आहेत, म्हणजेच एकूण १२० गुणांची परीक्षा दिली जाईल. या परीक्षेचा अभ्यासक्रम कनिष्ठ आरेखक पदासाठी आवश्यक शैक्षणिक अर्हतेशी संबंधित राहील. परीक्षेची वेळ ९० मिनिटे असेल. प्रश्नपत्रिका वस्तुनिष्ठ (MCQ) स्वरुपाची असेल आणि प्रत्येक प्रश्नाच्या दिलेल्या चार पर्यायांपैकी एक योग्य उत्तर निवडायचे आहे. समान गुण मिळालेल्या उमेदवारांच्या अंतिम निर्णयासाठी शासनाच्या सूचनांनुसार योग्य ती कारवाई करण्यात येईल. ऑनलाईन परीक्षेत किमान ४५% गुण मिळवणाऱ्या उमेदवारांनाच व्यावसायिक चाचणीस (Professional Test) पात्र मानले जाईल. व्यावसायिक चाचणीचे वेळापत्रक आणि सविस्तर माहिती पात्र उमेदवारांना स्वतंत्रपणे कळवण्यात येईल. शासन निर्णय दिनांक ०४.०५.२०२२ अनुसार, ऑनलाईन परीक्षा व व्यावसायिक चाचणी या दोन्हींच्या मिळालेल्या एकूण गुणांच्या आधारे गुणवत्ता यादी/निवड यादी तयार करण्यात येईल आणि त्यानुसारच शिफारस करण्यात येईल.

In the event of candidates obtaining equal marks, the final decision will be made as per the government instructions issued in this regard. Only candidates who secure at least 45% marks in the online examination will be eligible to appear for the professional test. Detailed information regarding the professional test schedule will be communicated separately to eligible candidates. As per the Government of Maharashtra General Administration Department’s resolution dated 04.05.2022, the merit list and final selection will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in the online exam and the professional test. Recommendations for appointment will be made strictly on the basis of merit.
