AAY 2023 Details : Antyodaya Anna Yojana 2023 Ration Card has been released by the central government, this scheme has been started for the poor citizens of the country. Antyodaya Anna is a ration card, under this ration card, 35 kg ration is distributed every month as a subsidy to the poor of the country. Antyodaya ration cards are provided to those citizens of the country who are financially very poor. And those who have no means of earning any kind. More than one million families in the country will be given the benefit of Antyodaya Anna Yojana. The scheme has been started by the Central Government on 25 December 2000 under the Ministry of Food Supplies. The benefit of Antyodaya Anna Yojana will be provided to poor families as well as disabled people.

Key Features of AAY 2023

1. AAY was a step in the direction of making TPDS aim at reducing hunger among the poorest segments of the BPL population. A National Sample Survey Exercise pointed towards the fact that about 5% of the total population in the country sleeps without two square meals a day. This section of the population could be called as “hungry”.
2. AAY involved identification of one crore poorest of the poor families from amongst the number of BPL families covered under TPDS within the States and providing them food grains at a highly subsidized rate of Rs.2/- per kg. for wheat and Rs.3/- per kg for rice. The States/UTs were required to bear the distribution cost, including margin to dealers and retailers as well as the transportation cost. Thus the entire food subsidy was passed on to the consumers under the scheme.
3. The scale of issue that was initially 25 kg per family per month was increased to 35 kg per family per month with effect from 1st April 2002.

1. The benefit of Antyodaya Anna Yojana will be provided to Divyangjan and Antyodaya ration card holders.
2. Food items will be provided to the beneficiaries at a reduced rate of cost.
3. The benefit of this scheme will also be provided to all the disabled people of the country whose financial condition is very weak.
4. Facility to get 35 kg ration has been made available to the beneficiaries through Antyodaya Anna Yojana.
5. Wheat at the rate of 2 rupees per kg and rice at the rate of 3 rupees per kg. The beneficiary can get food grains every month under his Antyodaya ration card.
6. 2.50 crore poor families will be covered under the AAY scheme.
7. The benefit of Antyodaya Anna Yojana will be given to poor families of both rural and urban areas.
8. The AAY involves identification of one crore poor from poor families by the number of BPL families covered under TPDS within the states.
9. The family of the applicant selected “Antyodaya Ration Card” will be provided with unique quota card to get recognition.
10. All the beneficiary citizens of the country can make available food items for their families at reasonable prices through the scheme.

Eligibility for Antyodaya Anna Yojana

1. Candidates or Family Below Poverty line can apply for this scheme
2. Annual income of the Family Rs. 15000/- below are eligible
3. Disabled persons can apply for this scheme
4. Widows and senior citizen of 60 years who heading a family can apply
5. Tribal Families in the rural and mountain areas is eligible for this scheme
6. Agriculture labourers without lands, marginal farmers, rural artisans or craftsmen, like weavers, blacksmiths, carpenters, potters, tanners, slum dwellers, and daily wage earners in the informal sector like cobblers, rag pickers, snake charmers, porters, coolies, rickshaw pullers, hand cart pullers, fruit and flower sellers, destitute and other similar types in both rural and urban areas.
7. Households that are headed by terminally ill persons/disabled persons/ persons aged 60 years or more or widows with no assured means of subsistence or societal support.
   Persons who are terminally ill or widows or disabled persons or persons aged 60 years or more or single women or single men with no family or societal support or assured means of subsistence.

How to Apply for Antyodaya Anna Yojana Ration Card

अंत्योदय अन्न योजना रेशन कार्डसाठी अर्ज कसा करावा?

1. Eligible beneficiary which are listed above in rural area need to approach concern Gram Sabha for apply AAY Selection of beneficiary will made under follow.
2. In case of urban area, applicant needs to visit Urban Development Department for application.
3. Firstly the applicant has to go to the food supply department of his area.
4. After going to the department, the applicant will have to get the form of Antyodaya ration card from the concerned officer of the office.
5. After receiving the form, the applicant has to enter all the information asked in the form.
6. After filling all the information, the applicant has to attach the scanned copy of the requested documents with the form.
7. After that you have to submit the form to the office.
8. Your application form will be checked by the officials of the department, after successful verification, you will get the benefit of Antyodaya ration card.
9. In this way the process of applying for your Antyodaya ration card will be completed.
