CNPN Nashik Bharti CRITERIA OF SKILL/TYPING TEST
It is with reference to the Advertisement No.CNPN/HR/Rect./01/2021 and subsequent notice dated 12/11/2022, wherein it was notified that skill/typing test for Secretarial Assistant (B-4 level) and Junior Office Assistant (B-3 level) will be held on 04/12/2022. In this regard, the details of the criteria for the skill/typing test are hereby further
clarified for information to all the concern candidates who have applied for the said posts.
A) Criteria for Calculation of Typing Speed and Error
I. The Criteria for evaluation of typing speed & error is illustrated below as –
Note: 1 word = 5 key strokes, 1 error = 5 key strokes.
- Net Speed (WPM) = [(Gross Strokes – Error Hits) / 5] / Total Test Time (Min).
- Duration: 10 min.
- Gross Strokes = Total Stokes Typed in 10 Min. e.g. 2000.
- Words Typed = (2000/5) = 400.
Gross Speed = 400/10 = 40 WPM.
II. Criteria for Calculation of Error
Mistakes / Error Stokes = 250.
Error Words = 250/5= 50.
Net Errors = 50/10 = 5 WPM.
Net Speed = 40 – 5 = 35 WPM.
B) Percentage of Error allowed –
i. Relaxation of 5% error for UR Category.
ii. Relaxation of 7% error for other Categories

- चाचणी द्विभाषिक स्वरूपात असेल म्हणजे हिंदी आणि इंग्रजी भाषेतील इंग्रजी भाषा विभाग वगळता जो फक्त इंग्रजीमध्ये उपलब्ध असेल.
Typing Skill Test
- Typing Skill Test will be of Qualifying in Nature only i.e., Computer knowledge with typing speeds in English @ 40 wpm OR Hindi @ 30 wpm.
- The typing skill test will be of 10 min only.
- To qualify in Typing Skill Test, candidates have to score Typing speed on computer in English @40 wpm / Hindi @30 wpm (wpm = Words Per Minute).
- Candidates can attempt the Typing Skill Test either in Hindi or in English language (as opted by Candidates in the Online Application form).
- Only those candidates who qualify in Computer based Typing Skill Test will be called for online written examination

STENOGRAPHY TEST FOR THE POST OF SECRETARIAL ASSISTANT (B-4 LEVEL) AND TYPING TEST FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR OFFICE ASSISTANT (B-4 LEVEL)
It is with reference to the Advertisement No. CNPN/HR/Rect./01/2021 whereby recruitment for the various posts including Junior Office Assistant and Secretarial Assistant were notified.
Subsequently. vide Notice dated 02.03.2022 it was informed that, the candidates who have applied for the post of Secretarial Assistant (B-4 level) and Junior Office Assistant (B-3 Level their online examination will be conducted separately i.e. after qualifying in skill test (i.e. stenography test and typing test as the case may be).
Now. it is informed that the skill test/typing test for the post of Junior Office Assistant and Secretarial Assistant will be conducted as per below schedule-
