The Maharashtra Government department for Consumer protection, Civil supplies and Food has announced the invitation of online application forms for smart ration cards. According to the latest initiatives the state government is accepting the applications forms from candidates who want to apply for the smart ration cards within the state. Under the new initiative the state people will get the benefit of availing benefits under various digital schemes launched by the government.

The state government has announced that the services for application process will be made available via its official web portal service. To avail the benefit the applicants have to log on to the official website www.mahafood.gov.in from their web browsers. According to the latest updates the digital format of the ration card shall offer users with details related to their name in full, Photograph (For identification – Head of family), Address and bar code for authentication and verification process.

Types of Ration Card in Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, the government has introduced smart ration cards of three colours. Each colour is for a certain economic status. 2. You will need to go to the ‘Transparency Portal’ on the website. Then, you will have to click on the ‘Allocation Generation Status’ link. This will take you to a page where you can check the status of your application.
3. Once you click the link, you will be asked for your ration card details. Make sure you enter the correct details. Once the details are entered, you can click on proceed further to check the status of your application.
4. The processing of a smart ration card application does not take too long. At the most, the government may take a month or two to review your application. If there are a lot of applicants, it will take more time. But the government does ensure that every application is reviewed fairly and adequately to minimize the number of mistakes or rejections.
