Keeping in mind the health security of women, the Government of India has made Jan Saudhi Suvidha Sanitary Pads available in all Jan Saudhi Kendras at a modest cost. More than 9177 Jan Medicinal Centers have been opened across the country, functioning in 743 districts of 36 states and Union Territories of the country. The target has been set to increase the number of these centers to 10 thousand by December 2023 this year. The prices of Janaushadhi generic drugs are 50 to 90 percent lower than the price of branded drugs available in the open market. So, this plan is very beneficial for people who take medicines daily.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" Under the scheme, dedicated outlets known as Janaushadhi Kendras are opened to provide generic medicines at affordable prices. As on 31.10.2022, 8819 Janaushadhi Kendras are functional across the country. Product basket of PMBJP comprises 1759 drugs and 280 surgical items.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The Scheme is implemented by a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, viz., Pharma &amp; Medical Bureau of India (PMBI) [erstwhile Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India(BPPI)].<\/li>\n<li>Ensure access to quality medicines for all sections of the population especially the poor and the deprived ones.<\/li>\n<li>Create awareness about generic medicines through education and publicity to counter the perception that quality is synonymous with high price only.<\/li>\n<li>Generate employment by engaging individual entrepreneurs in opening of PMBJP Kendra.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Salient_features_PMBJP_Scheme\"><\/span>Salient features PMBJP Scheme<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Scheme is operated by government agencies as well as by private entrepreneurs: The incentive provided to the Kendra owners has been enhanced from existing Rs. 2.50 lakh to up to Rs. 5.00 lakh to be given @ 15% of monthly purchases made, subject to a ceiling of Rs. 15,000\/- per month.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">One-time incentive of Rs. 2.00 lakh is to be provided for furniture &amp; fixtures and computer &amp; printers to the PMBJP Kendras opened in North-Eastern States, Himalayan areas, Island territories and backward areas mentioned as aspirational district by NITI Aayog or opened by women entrepreneur, Divyang, SCs&amp; STs.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prices of the Jan Aushadhi medicines are 50%-90% less than that of branded medicines prices in the open market.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Medicines are procured only from World Health Organization \u2013 Good Manufacturing Practices (WHO-GMP) certified suppliers for ensuring the quality of the products.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each batch of drug is tested at laboratories accredited by \u2018National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories\u2019 (NABL) for ensuring best quality.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"PMBJP_Kendra_Registration\"><\/span>PMBJP Kendra Registration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<a class=\"maxbutton-2 maxbutton\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Online Application Form link\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/janaushadhi.gov.in\/online_registration.aspx\"><span class='mb-text'>Online Registration for PMBJP Kendra<\/span><\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) PMBJP Scheme complete details are given here.
