D. Programme Entrance Test (PET) for the aspiring qualified candidates at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. Considering the present situation caused due to COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided by the authorities to extend the date for registration of <strong>PET examination till 08th May, 2021<\/strong>. Last date for submission of hard copy of application form along with relevant documents preferably by Post\/courier\/ by hand (after 03.05.2021) is extended till 15.05.2021. The date for online PET examination will be announced afterward, considering the situation of COVID-19 pandemic and guidelines issued by the state government and local authorities. The Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) shall be conducted in two phases i.e. PET \u2013 I and PET \u2013 II.<br \/>\n2. Both, PET \u2013 I and PET \u2013 II shall be conducted in three mediums i.e. English, Hindi and<br \/>\nMarathi.<br \/>\n3. PET \u2013 I shall be online and of a duration of 90 minutes with maximum 100 marks.<br \/>\n4. PET \u2013 I shall have 100 multiple choice questions from different areas as mentioned below:<br \/>\na. Language Competency \u2013 30 Questions<br \/>\nb. Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation \u2013 25 Questions<br \/>\nc. Analytical Reasoning \u2013 15 Questions<br \/>\nd. Numerical Ability \u2013 15 Questions<br \/>\ne. Computer and Environment Awareness \u2013 15 Questions<br \/>\n5. The assessment of PET \u2013 I shall have negative marking i.e. the student shall get 1 mark for each correct answer while for each wrong answer, 0.5 mark shall be deducted.<br \/>\n6. A student has to score minimum 50 marks (in case of open category students) and 45 marks (in case of backward class category students) to qualify the examination.<br \/>\n7. PET \u2013 II shall be conducted offline with paper and pen.<br \/>\n8. PET \u2013 II shall be of 3 hours duration with maximum 100 marks.<br \/>\n9. PET \u2013 II shall have two sections viz. \u2018Research Methodology\u2019 and \u2018Subject Paper\u2019 each<br \/>\ncarrying 50 marks.<br \/>\n10. A student has to score minimum 40% marks in each section and 50% marks in total to qualify the examination. However, the backward category student shall get 5% relaxation to qualify the examination.<br \/>\n11.
